A recent study titled “The Impact of Initial Treatment by Network Providers on Workers’ Compensation Injuries” validates that a real dollar savings is achieved when employers direct care to a pre-arranged occupational physician’s office.
The study indicates that a reduction in the cost of medical of between 16% to 46% can be achieved by using an initial non-emergency medical provider.
