Safety Programs
Total Loss Control (TLC) is a Loss Control /Safety Program
This is an Occupational Safety and Health Manual which can be customized and will be a road map to assist management in developing a Safety/ Loss Prevention program.
This Manual has four goals:
1) Prevent injuries to the company’s most valuable asset, its workers’
2) Reduce the cost of Workers’ Compensation over the long-term
3) Increase productivity of the organization, as injuries are distractions
4) Assist the organization to obtain regulatory compliance
TLC Program sections Include:
- Safety Mission Statement
- Safety Director Announcement
- Safety Director Roles
- Safety Committee Guide
- Supervisory Personnel Role and Responsibilities
- Line Employees Safety Rules
- Disciplinary Policy
- Hazard Inspection
- General Safety Rules
- Accident Investigation Forms
Appropriate forms are provided to communicate the safety message.
Accountability of Supervisors is fundamental to this programs success. What management permits it condones. What management measures get done!
You might find it amazing that 80% of all accidents are caused by unsafe acts. The other 20% are caused by unsafe conditions. This reinforces the ideal that we must focus on changing behaviors to eliminate unsafe acts.
The goal of this activity is to create a Safety Culture. A safety culture is where the workforce knows, through the consistent activities of management, that safe behavior is expected and that workplace injuries will not be tolerated.
